Boy (Tales of Childhood) by Roald Dahl

Throughout my young days at school and just afterwards a number of things happened to me…some are funny, some are painful. Some are unpleasant…but all are true.’

This is Roald Dahl’s childhood story which packed full of exciting events of his early life. It astonished me when I first read this book. The scenes I could see were as clear as glass and every so often I looked up to picture something in my mind. Also, some parts of the book are really interesting. My favourite bit is when Roald Dahl puts a dead rat in a sweet jar which occured in his favourite sweet shop. I loved it so I hope you do to.

Age range: 8-11.
