It is 1940 and a war is raging throughout the world. World War 2. Johnnie’s mum is dead. His dad is in the army and, because he is accused of thieving, he is also on the run from the law. Can it possibly get worse? He then finds little Shirley. Her mum is in a coma and her dad is in a state of worry about his daughter and wife. It is Johnnie’s job to take Shirley to her parents, but is he too late?
